There are about 500'000 blind people in Viet Nam – mostly among the poor. “Cataract” accounts for two thirds of all cases. Cataract surgery, although a simple operation and with cost of about 1 million VND only – is totally unaffordable for many of the poor victims.

Eye Charity Program in Phu Tan Medical Center, Ca Mau Province

Eye Charity Vietnam in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital have carried out many eye charity programs that bring eye sight back to the poor in many areas of Vietnam since 2014. Following up with that spirit, this program was continually conducted at Phu Tan Medical Center, Ca Mau Province on 21st and 22nd October, 2017. 

The program was successfully carried out to bring light and pleasure to 156 patients who are at risk of blindness by Cataract in Phu Tan District, Ca mau Province.
