UPDATE - Eye charity program in Lai Chau Province - SEASON 2: Tan Uyen District (24/10/2018-26/10/2018)

From October 24, 2018 to October 26, 2018, Eye Charity Vietnam together with Lai Chau Social Disease Prevention Center came toTan Uyen district and successfully implemented 36 operations to bring light to the poor here.

There are about 500'000 blind people in Viet Nam – mostly among the poor. “Cataract” accounts for two thirds of all cases. Cataract surgery, although a simple operation and with cost of about 1 million VND only – is totally unaffordable for many of the poor victims.
