There are about 500'000 blind people in Viet Nam – mostly among the poor. “Cataract” accounts for two thirds of all cases. Cataract surgery, although a simple operation and with cost of about 1 million VND only – is totally unaffordable for many of the poor victims.

Eye Charity program in Kontum from March 20th, 2017 to March 23rd, 2017


On 20-23 April 2017, Eye Charity Việt Nam and Hochiminh Eye Hospital organized a charity eye surgery program in Kontum province

The program was successful with 245 patients treated.
